Psychological Therapy
I offer psychological therapy for children, young people, adults and families in Lincoln and the surrounding areas. People often get in touch when something has started to feel difficult, overwhelming, or stuck, and they would like a space to understand what is happening and think about ways forward.
My approach is thoughtful, collaborative and grounded in evidence-based psychological practice.
Who I Work With
I work with:
• Children and young people
• Adults
• Parents and families
Some people come for a short period of focused work, while others benefit from longer-term support.
Common Reasons People Seek Therapy
People contact me for many different reasons, including:
• Anxiety and worry
• Low mood or loss of confidence
• Trauma or stressful experiences
• Emotional regulation difficulties
• Behaviour challenges in children or teenagers
• School anxiety or school avoidance
• Parenting support
• Questions around autism or ADHD.
Often these difficulties have developed over time, and therapy provides space to make sense of them and consider helpful changes.
Support for Anxious Children and Teenagers
Anxiety in young people can show up in many ways — worries about school, avoidance, physical symptoms, difficulty sleeping, or feeling overwhelmed by everyday situations.
Therapy can help children and teenagers understand their feelings, build confidence and develop practical strategies for managing anxiety. I also work closely with parents to help support change at home.
Therapy for Adults
Adults often come to therapy wanting to understand patterns that have been present for some time. This might include anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship difficulties or questions around neurodivergence.
Together we work to develop a clearer understanding of what has been happening and to find ways forward that feel manageable and meaningful.
Parent Consultation and Support
Sometimes the most helpful place to start is with parents. I offer consultation and support to help families better understand behaviour, emotional difficulties and neurodevelopmental differences.
This might involve thinking together about patterns within the family, practical strategies, or how to support a child who is struggling.
My Approach
As a Clinical Psychologist, my work is guided by psychological formulation — developing a careful understanding of a person’s experiences, relationships and environment.
I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches and adapt these to each individual or family. My aim is to provide a calm, respectful space where people feel understood and supported.
Getting Started
If you are considering therapy, we can begin with an initial conversation to talk about what has been happening and whether working together might be helpful.
You are welcome to get in touch to arrange an appointment or ask any questions.
